I was about to say we don't have this problem, but that may be because I ride a bike in our town centre and therefore people think I'm too fast or broke to bother with.

I concede many Android apps may be as good, but I do not have direct experience of them, so I can't really comment.

When it comes to approach, Microsoft's approach is slightly different to Apple's. Hardware has a minimum spec, which is down to minimum quality expectations more than anything, but it's not a "one size fits all approach" like Apple's. When it comes down to adoption, remember it's a tough market to break, it's still a new OS, yet to have its first major upgrade, and it would be better to wait and see what happens after Mango and the first Nokia phones come out for a clearer picture.

A couple of your comparisons with iOS are a little short-sighted - you mention in Birdsong about 'live tiles', but iOS doesn't really have anything like that to compare with. A better comparison would be with widgets on Android.

Likewise, you talk about the google maps app on iOS, but (surprise, surprise) the google maps app on Android is also far superior than the one on iOS - including layers, street view, 3d building view, and turn-by-turn voice navigation for drivers.

Android certainly isn't perfect - no OS is - but it would appear that MS have decided to go down the Apple route with WinPo7, but trying to tightly control the hardware that it runs on , which, IMHO, will limit adoption (initial stats seem to back this up too).

Hi, Noel!
Great overview of the show! Not that funny, but very professional. You should bring this to some newspaper! It would be very good to reed it in Ryanair's magazine, for example!Haven't you think about it?! I'm glad you liked the show in general. How did you like the hosts (Anke Engelke, Judith Rakers and Stefan Raab)? And how did you like"Satellite" sang by Stefan Raab? I can't really decide if I liked 2 hosts better than 3..I think I vote for 2 hosts, cause 3 makes kind a crowd, hard to focus on them!
Your live website was just awesome and gave me lot of fun! Tusen takk!
If you are really going to Melodifestivalen and Melodi Grand Prix, please let me join!
Good job! :)

I'm a bit surprised to see you using "The IQ Argument" as a reason to vote against AV. As far as I can tell, it's the No campaign who have been understating our intelligence, implying we're all too stupid to understand AV because it's "too complicated."

Last time I checked, most of us were capable of ranking candidates in order of preference.

I actually LOLed when you said: "They are voting “Yes” because they don’t like FPTP, not because they want AV. This is not the way to deal with constitutional change." given that this is the kind of voting that FPTP encourages..... ;)

I agree with you, I've never really seen the point of Lent and giving up chocolate or sweets or whatever. I didn't know you can have Sundays off, which makes it seem even more pointless. But agree with mrBen that we could make it more about spiritual disciplines and reflection/meditation/prayer, that would take a more serious concerted effort. But then should we do this more at Lent than the rest of the year? I supposed it could be, cause to be honest, don't spend much of the rest of the year having purposeful fasting. Tho I kind of like Christian Aid's 'count your blessings' thing, but that probably falls into your category of carbon footprint/buying someone coffee, but it is quite thought-provoking at the same time. And you get to be thankful for all the things you have. I like it. That's all :)
